Hypocrisy among believers has been pointed out as one of the elements that prevent God to use people as instruments of salvation, Reverend Twaha Nkuli of the CCAP Blantyre synod has said.

Nkuli made the proclamation on Sunday at the closure of a three-day Easter crusade at Chinamwali CCAP in Zomba.

He said the blood that Christ Jesus shed on His mission of salvation on earth is a signal that Christianity is not cheap therefore those who confess to become believers should live a life worthy pleasing to God.

Preaching from John 14:1-12, Nkuli said Jesus Christ is preparing places in heaven to accommodate those faithfuls after Judgment Day.

“Everyone should fix their eyes on Christ Jesus the author and purifier of our faith as no one who lives contrary to the gospel will test the Kingdom of God,” he said.

He further urged the believers to pray ceaselessly for several issues affecting the church and the society for God’s intervention.

“Prayer is vital for the life of the church hence abstain from any sinful act as God does not listen to the prayers of sinners,” he advised.
