Big Bullets FC were again the busiest team during the transfer window having spent close to K5 million on new players to further strengthen their squad ahead of the second-round which kicks off tomorrow.

At the start of the season, Bullets spent about K7.25 million bringing their total expenditure on the market this season to above K12 million.

The People’s Team has completed the signing of Jaffalie Chande from Epac FC (K2.5 million), Dave Ng’ambi from Civo United (K1.5 million) and Frazer Menyani from Azam Tigers (K750 000).

Bullets chairperson Kondi Msungama confirmed having completed the new signings on Wednesday.

“We are serious about fighting for the Super League championship honours, hence the continued recruitment drive,” he said.

At the start of the season, Bullets bought Pilirani Zonda and Mussa Manyenje from Epac, Bashir Maunde from Kabula United, Tizgowere Kumwenda and Victor Limbani from Blantyre United on loan, Moses Scott from Green Hawks and Miracle Gabeya from Chitawira Rangers.

Mighty Wanderers have also spent close to K2 million having completed the transsfer deals for Patrick Gunde from Civo United (K1.2 million) and Dave Chadewa from Chikwawa United (K500 000). They have also signed two other players from Nkhata Bay.

Civo general secretary Rashid Mtelela confirmed that the transfer deals for both Ng’ambi and Gunde have been completed.

Silver Strikers, who lost the bid to sign Chande, have found solace in the return of their former star forward Peter Wadabwa, who has been signed as a free agent following the expiry of his contract with South African lower league side Blackburn Rovers. They have also taken on board Ian Banda.

Tigers signed four players on loan from Wanderers, namely Diverson Chilemba, Develious Mwale, Felix Kamwendo and Omega Mhone.

Sulom general secretary Williams Banda said although the transfer window closed last Thursday, pending issues were still being finalised.
