Bingolingo heads in new direction with EP
S i n g e r / s o n g w r i t e r Bingolingo Dapalapa, known for his sultry hooks infused on dancehall tracks
is set to relaunch his music career having decided to take his music in a new direction.
The former Warge Records associate, born Bright Mhango, relocated to Ireland a couple of years ago from where he intends to revive his career.
The artist shot to fame on Warge Records’ Mbwelela Riddim over a decade ago and further established
himself as a solo artist with hits such as Ndidziwe, Make You My Wife, She’s Trapped, Uchi, Bola Hule
and Mwachaje Satafuna.
In an interview, Bingolingo explained that in Ireland he is meeting new people and seeing music from a
different perspectives. “ I am getting to understanding different cultures and my intention is to make it internationally to sell both to my country and elsewhere,” he said.
To keep himself relevant, the artist released a single Bedi last week. “It has been a while since l released music. So now l decided l drop a few songs as I am working on an EP which is totally different with what one can expect
from Bingolingo and its going to be a surprise which l don’t want to pre-empt,” he said.
