Members of staff from Blantyre Adventist Hospital (BAH) on Saturday took time off their busy schedule to share lighter moments with orphans and visually impaired children at Pashello Community Based Childcare Centre and Makande Resource Centre at Ngabu in Chikwawa.

During the visit, they donated assorted items which included bags of maize flour, blankets, soap, clothes and undisclosed sum of money to help in the running of the two centres.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, Dr. Ema Nadal-Varona, a Paediatrician emphasised the need for children to be given proper nutritious foods to ensure their proper growth.

“I also want to advise you to be innovative and make available a balanced diet to children using locally available food,” said Varona while stressing the need for children to be taken to the hospital whenever they fall sick.

Felia Malola, Executive Director of Pashello Charitable Trust thanked the hospital staff for the donation,  saying it will go a long away in reducing various challenges she was facing in taking care of the children.
