Blantyre City Presbytery Youth Zone 1 of CCAP Blantyre Synod last Sunday organised a luncheon at Thundu CCAP in Bangwe Township to raise funds for a retreat.

The youth camp is scheduled for Chilema, Zomba, from December 29 2015 to January 2 2016.

Chairperson of the organising committee Hartley Million said they have budgeted for K2.4 million ($4,175.97) for accommodation and food during the youth camp.

“This is where youths from 13 churches of Blantyre City Presbytery gather to share the word of God. We learn one or two things fellows do in their churches in the course of interaction,” said Million.

He thanked those who supported the luncheon and asked well-wishers to help the youth ministry in cash or kind.

Youth member from Chirimba CCAP, Harry Paul Kamanga, preached to the gathering on understanding the word of God (John 1:1).

At least over K200,000 ($347.99) in cash and pledges was raised during the function. n
