Promoted by Jai Banda, aka Mr Entertainer, the gig saw the best of all in the country’s musical world sharing the same stage.

From the award winning Zili ndi Iwe star Maskal through Katelele  Ching’oma and Saul Chembezi to Anthony Makondetsa and Black Missionaries, fans came out of the halls drenched in seas of fun. Also on the menu was Skeffa Chimoto  who, after missing in Blantyre for months, came back with a massive performance.

“This was a phenomenal way of starting the festive season. The performances were quite moving,” said John Chiusiwa, a Bangwe resident.

The gig, which shot off at around 9 pm and was highly patronised, boasted of intelligent security system with revellers enjoying the freedom of entering and exiting the hall without difficulty.

Speaking after his part of performance, Maskal described the show as a perfect way of beginning the festive season.

“Every moment you get on stage is phenomenal. As an artist I appreciate the support Malawians are rendering to us, artists,” he said.

From Blantyre, the gig–which features DJ Khumbo and 4Tees Disco, Pretty Boy and Mlangeni Sounds, Super Boys and Ndirande-based youthful Breaking Silence–moves to Zitherepano in Mangochi Monday night.
