The Blantyre City Presbytery is this year celebrating 10 years since partnering with the Aberdeen Presbytery of Scotland.

Celebrations are taking place in Scotland where Blantyre Synod of the CCAP has sent two pastors and three Christians to represent Malawi.

The five are presbytery clerk the Reverend Buxton Maulidi, the Reverend James Sande, Wilson Chipumphula, Fanuel Mota and Christina Chirwa.

Blantyre City Presbytery moderator, the Reverend Ernest Mpate said they entered into partnership with Aberdeen in November 2003 for social and spiritual development.

“We are, during the celebrations, reflecting on successes, failures and ways to improve our partnership,” he explained.

Mpate said the team left the country on Thursday and will be in Scotland for three weeks.

He said the delegation is expected to pay homage to the Mayor of Aberdeen City and visit historical sites such as Blantyre Township and homes of first missionaries, including Dr. David Livingstone.
