“You [facilitators] have been chosen in the ministry to improve the socio-economic status of fellow Christians. Serve God through this ministry,” said Goba.

Training coordinator Ken Mwanyongo urged the facilitators to implement what they have learnt for the project to bear fruits.

One of the participants to a five-day training held at Mornachy Square in Blantyre, Robertson Nazombe, was happy to be equipped with money-saving ideas that will help to form groups in church.

“I have learnt to form money saving groups, monitor and evaluate in line with the church doctrines,” said Nazombe.

Blantyre synod held the training with expertise of Hope International organisation and Chalmers Centre for Economic Development.
