Blantyre Synod of the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP) has said Christians need to have good temples where they are to meet to worship God.
Reverend McDonald Kadawati made the call last Sunday when he laid a foundation stone for construction of a new church at Songani in Zomba.
Kadawati, who was the guest of honour at the function, said conducive worship centres enable believers to concentrate on prayer and other church activities.
He said people should learn to invest their time and resources on God’s projects as God uses the church as an instrument of salvation.
“Just as we commit ourselves to the construction of our buildings, let us build this house of God with happiness and joy for God loves cheerful worshippers,” he said.
