Bloemfontein Celtic’s Frank Gabadinho Mhango and Limbikani Mzava should be hoping for more game time following the return of coach Clinton Larsen for sacked Ernst Middendorp. Larsen handed the Flames duo debuts in 2011 and 2013.

Celtic sacked the German Middendorp after a goalless draw against Moroka Swallows on Sunday when, for the first time in many months, Mhango returned to the starting line-up and played for 76 minutes.

Mzava, for a second consecutive game, did not play for Celtic who lie 10th on the 16-member South Africa Premiership table after picking their first point and end a three-game losing streak.

Still in South Africa, Robert Ng’ambi is injured; hence, his absence in Platinum Stars game against Wits University on Sunday.

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, Joseph Kamwendo enjoyed game time, playing for 63 minutes on Saturday as TP Mazembe beat Dauphins 1-0 with Jonathan Bolingi netting the last gasp winner.

“The men of Patrice Carteron controlled the match, thanks to good play by Yannick Tusilu and Joseph Kamwendo, but until half-time the result was 0-0. Daniel Adjei replaced Kamwendo to find more space in the midfield,” reads www.tpmazembe.com

Mazembe advanced to the second place with 14 points, at par with leaders Lubumbashi Sport who drew 1-1 with Don Bosco in Kamalondo.
