Richard Luhanga was elected club chairperson unopposed and in absentia. His deputy, Happy  Mkandawire, also went in unopposed. Also elected unopposed was general secretary Ackis Muwanga while Benjamin Msowoya beat Saddrey Sambo to become Muwanga’s deputy. Calvin Banda was elected treasurer and will be deputised by Lazarous Gondwe. Committee members are Grace Ligola, Azungu Kalua, Evision Sajiwa, Evance Banda and Edward Nkwalamasa.

Mwenda declared the elections free and fair and gave 14 days to those who have issues to raise with FAM.

He urged the new committee to work towards professionalisation of the club.

“Be innovative so that you can find ways of fundraising for the club although you have sponsorship,” Mwenda advised the new committee.

On his part, Mkandawire said their first target will be to win the league.
