The women’s committee of organisers of the Christ for All Nations (CFAN) evangelist Reinhard Bonnke’s Crusade on Monday donated various items to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) in Blantyre.

Items donated included sugar, salt, Kamba Puffs and laundry soap. The items were sourced by members from zones of the crusade areas in the commercial city.

Chairperson of the women’s committee, pastor Lisnet Fungatira, said the items which were donated to wards 3A, 3B, 5A and the paediatric ward were given out of love.

“We decided to come and share whatever we have gathered with the patients because some of them might not be with us during the crusade. The money used to purchase these items has been sourced from the women themselves,” said Fungatira, who is a pastor in Zambezi Evangelical Church (ZEC).

One of the committee’s members, pastor Margaret Chombo, said the visit to QECH was one of the crusade activities.

“Our aim is to comfort the sick in the wards, according to Matthew 25: 37 where Jesus commanded us to do charity work.

“This is time for us to unite through this crusade because we have come from various churches,” said Chombo.
