Boy, 3, needs K9m for surgery

Three-year-old Chimwemwe Tahuna is in urgent need of financial support to travel to India for medical treatment.

He needs K9 million for eye surgery, according to his parents .

His parents discovered their son’s problem when he was three months old and a series of scans revealed that he was born with sight challenges.

Doctors from Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre advised the parents to travel to India, with optimism that at least 50 percent of his sight can be recovered.

Mayuni, who works at Kulima Gold in Nkhotakota District, comes from Mulowe Village, Traditional Authority Chikulamayembe in Rumphi District.
