Chairperson of the Blantyre Synod Partnership Committee Davies Lanjesi said the three churches have been exchanging visits since 25 years ago.
“During the 25 years, we have been benefiting from one another in terms of exchange visits. This has been a time of learning from one another. Missionaries in Malawi have helped a lot in areas of education, health and evangelism, including building of churches. This will be time of reflections,” said Lanjesi.
Leader of a 16 visiting Tripartite Partnership delegation from Pittsburgh, South Sudan Reverend Davie Carver has hailed CCAP Blantyre Synod leadership for its commitment and hospitality and good organisation in church management.
Carver said this in an interview in Blantyre on Wednesday during  their two-week visit to Malawi when, among other things, they visited churches in rural areas doing evangelisation work and developmental projects, including painting Gondwa Prayer House in Thyolo.
“We are impressed with what Blantyre Synod is doing in the organisation of church leadership, especially in Sunday schools programmes, eldership leadership, and women’s guild administration. We have been learning a lot from Malawi, Blantyre Synod,” said Carver.
Blantyre Synod general secretary Reverend Alexander Benson Maulana said the significance of the partnership was that the three sides were learning from one another in terms of church administration that includes all departments ranging from women’s guild, youth, evangelism,  of the Sunday school programmes, fundraisings, local and international partnerships among many others.
“Blantyre Synod is organised in doing things in all departments of the church because we have structures and goals to achieve. Here we are many in terms of number but our setback is in giving.  We are learning from our friends in giving because they are good although they are few in numbers,” said Maulana.
