Blantyre United Football Club have invited applications for a head coach.
The development comes after the club parted ways with suspended coach Leo Mpulula.
Mpulula was slapped with a three-week suspension but even before expiry of the period, the club terminated his contract.
The Super League outfit’s general secretary Antony Kafuwa confirmed the development yesterday.
“We parted ways with Mr Mpulula and he was paid all his dues,” he said.
Mpulula also confirmed the development yesterday.
According to the vacancy, the head coach will be responsible for training and coaching of the team.
He will also monitor performance of players both on and off the pitch and provide positive and effective leadership of team members.
The successful candidate will also be given targets to achieve.
The club wants the coach to have a minimum of a Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) B licence, according to the vacancy.
United returned to the Super League last season after emerging Master Security Southern Region Football Association League champions.
However, they have found the going tough in the top flight league.
They are on position 15 with four points from seven games.
