Bucci grows wings

Some may call him a new kid on the block, but those who have watched Nde’feyo perform in the past year will know that Mabuchi Mwale, popularly known as Bucci, is not a new name in entertainment circles in Malawi.

His rhythmic dancing and versatile voice made him a darling at Nde’feyo shows, especially as a backing vocalist for rhymester Piksy.

Bucci has now joined the big leagues by venturing on his own and signing up with newly formed Transformers Music of Mike Chilewe Jnr and Percy Manyozo. His debut album Ngati Maloto will be out soon.

In an interview, he said he is excited with the move.

This means people will no longer hear the soprano/alto voice backing Trumel, Armstrong, Piksy and Maskal.

In a move to seal the gap left by Bucci, Nde’feyo Entertainment advertised for the position of two lead singers.

On their Facebook page, the label stated they were looking for lead vocalists for the label’s band and backing vocalists for their artists.

Those interested were asked to send a few songs recorded in a professional studio along with their resume and photo to ndefeyotalent@gmail.com or ndefeyomusic@gmail.com.
