Urban musician Bucci will not be releasing an album anytime soon as anticipated by his fans, but instead there is a special package for them as the Nde’feyo Entertainment artist has a mixtape coming next month.
Having kept his fans waiting for a full project since 2013, it is not surprising that the mixtape is titled Worth the Wait, although his label says the concept is not about creating anticipation for his upcoming album per se.
Nde’feyo marketing executive Funwayo Mhango: “It is more about a futuristic twisted concept about life as a journey in general. Life throws roses and thorns at us all as human beings. Every person has a 50-50 chance of success or failure. So, life is basically waiting for our arrival based on the odds.
“Thereby the mixtape focuses on motivating everyone to make that wait worth it.”
The 20-track mixtape features exciting names such as the Daredevilz, Sangie as well as rising hip-hop outfit Home Grown African, members of the group Classmates and the Street Fame clique. It boasts of production from Daredevilz, Tricky Beatz, Yesaya, Black Eye, Gaffer and Bucci himself.
“It contains breathtaking R&B, afro pop and a feel of house/dancehall music that will keep fans off their feet everywhere. Worththe Wait has a very interesting vibe that appeals to both young and old people,” added Mhango.
