Nyasa Big Bullets FC have engaged striker Chiukepo Msowoya on the prospects of offering him a contract.

This comes in the wake of the player’s revelation last week that he is a free agent having turned down a contract offer from the People’s Team.

Bullets vice-general secretary Kelvin Moyo yesterday said the club’s finance committee is discussing with the player.

“Actually, he was asked to clarify on what he was quoted as having said in your article, but he denied having said that. Anyway, we are still in talks with him and hopefully by Tuesday we should map the way forward after the [2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier] against Guinea,” said Moyo.

Chiukepo told The Nation last week from Sierra Leone where he was with the Flames, that he is a free agent as he was not happy with the contract which Bullets offered him.

The player could not be reached for comment on Sunday as he was in transit from Guinea. n
