Bullets donate to Nchalo flood victims

Big Bullets on Sunday donated assorted items to flood victims at Tazola Village in Nchalo, in Chikwawa District.

According to general secretary Harold Fote, the donation, which included clothes, maize flour, sugar, soap, cooking oil and shoes was worth K600 000.

“Our donation follows President Peter Mutharika’s call for collective effort in helping the victims and as a team that has a huge following, including here in the Lower Shire, we felt obliged to assist the flood victims in a little way because we were touched with their plight,” said Fote.

He said K400 000 of the money was sourced from proceeds of a friendly game they played against Red Lions while K200 000 was donated by well-wishers and officials.
