A 47-member Big Bullets FC delegation is set to leave the country today for pre-season camping in Polokwane, South Africa.

According to the club’s general secretary Harold Fote, the team will travel by road and is expected to arrive in Polokwane tomorrow where they will be hosted by National First Division (NFD) side Black Leopards for a week.

The squad comprises 25 players, four technical panel officials, two executive committee members and 10 supporters who were chosen through raffle draws conducted in all the country’s three regions.

Club chairperson Kondi Msungama said the camping will help the team to tune up for the new season in a different atmosphere.

“We stand to gain a lot tactically and technically as Leopards officials will offer their expertise,” said Msungama.

He said if all goes well, Bullets will play two games against third-tier league sides.

Bullets defence pillar George Nyirenda said the players will gain a lot from the foreign camping.

Meanwhile, Flames battle-hardened forward Esau Kanyenda, who is based in Polokwane where he plays for Premier Soccer League (PSL) Polokwane City has offered to arrange another build-up match against their reserve side.

“If their schedule is not that crammed, I can arrange a game for them, I am sure they could benefit,” said Kanyenda.

Polokwane is also home to another Flames international defender Harry Nyirenda who turns out for Black Leopards.
