Big Bullets have written Silver Strikers FC seeking the services of Chawanangwa Kaonga.

In a letter addressed to Silver Strikers general secretary Mike Tembo, which The Nation has seen, Bullets general secretary Harold Fote has said they want an outright sale for the player.

Fote said the request to buy Kaonga stems from the fact that the player himself had already expressed interest.

“I hereby write you requesting the acquisition of your player Chawanangwa Kaonga to join our club. The player has expressed interest to join our club hence our request,” reads part of the letter. The letter has also been copied to Super League of Malawi (Sulom) and the Football Association of Malawi (FAM).

“Our intention is to make an outright signing of the player. But if this arrangement will not suit you, we can make a loan arrangement. Big Bullets appreciate the sportsmanship that exists between the two sides outside and on the pitch for the development of football in the country. We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation on this matter and we wait to hearing from you soon,” concludes the letter, which was written yesterday December 29.

Big Bullets are this year participating in Africa’s prestigious club tournament the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League and have embarked on the  building of the team to achieve success.

“We are serious about doing well in CAF and we need top players,” said Fote.

Silver general secretary Mike Tembo said as a club they are yet to meet to respond to Bullets letter.
