Busy Signal is in town

After months of lingering doubt, Jamaican reggae superstar Busy Signal finally touched down at Chileka Airport in Blantyre on Wednesday ahead of his performance as the headline artist at this year’s Sunbird Sand Music Festival that starts tomorrowat Sunbird Livingstonia Beach in Salima.

Busy Signal, who arrived aboard a Malawi Airlines plane around5pm, was welcomed at the airport by the festival director Lucius Banda and scores of enthusiastic fans.busysignal

There was pomp as fans jostled to catch a clear glimpse of Jamaican reggae dancehall superstar Busy Signal

Musicians, models and youths lined up to shake hands with the artist, and most importantly take a selfie with him.

In a brief interview with the press, Busy Signal said he was excited to finally land in Malawi, which he called his second home.

“I am happy to be home. Malawi is my next home. I am encouraged with your warm welcome. It just shows you love me. And I love you too Malawi,” said Busy Signal before being escorted to a black Range Rover, which drove him to Sunbird Mount Soche Hotel.
