You have listened, enjoyed and danced to his songs like One More Night, Reggae Music Again, Come Over, and of late, Dreams of Brighter Days, during wedding ceremonies, at drinking joints and many other places.

But this year, you have a chance to watch the Jamaican reggae dancehall icon, Busy Signal,  perform live in the country.

Coming to Malawi.
Coming to Malawi.

Signal is expected to headline this year’s Sand Music Festival on the sand beaches of Salima’s Sunbird Livingstonia hotel to be held from October 30 to November 1 2015.

Meanwhile, the announcement of Signal’s coming to Malawi has been described as a milestone by artists especially from the dancehall world.

Speaking at the press briefing in Blantyre on Tuesday, chairperson of Sand Music Festival Lucius Banda said the choice of Busy Signal as the headliner of this year’s event was part of innovation.

“Sand Music Festival is improving every year. This year it is coming even bigger and better upon invitation of Busy Signal as the headliner,” said Lucius.

Lucius described Signal as not only a landmark for the festival but also an opportunity for local artists.
