Kid in tree catching bwanoni apr9 | The Nation OnlineThe chilly weather over the weekend in some parts of Blantyre came with an infestation of bwanoni(seasonal grasshoppers), a delicacy commonly found in cool months of the year in selected townships in the city.

Many have taken the coming of bwanoni as a replacement of bonya, a species of usipa that proved to be the most affordable dish on the market towards the end of 2012.
