BWB in mass disconnection exercise

Blantyre Water Board (BWB) has advised its customers with overdue accounts of more than 30 days to settle their bills by today or risk being disconnected.

The board, according to a notice published in the media, said reconnection of water supply will be made only after settlement of all outstanding balances plus a reconnection fee of K3 500.

“Pay your bills now at the following pay points: Limbe BWB offices behind Cear [Central East African Railways], BWB Chichiri Shopping Mall office, in Blantyre at Everest House next to the bus stands and Kameza Mall,” reads part of the notice.

The notice further says customers can also make payment using banks such as Indebank, National Bank of Malawi, NBS Bank, FMB, Ecobank, FDH Bank, TNM Mpamba and Airtel Money.

BWB supplies water to residents and business premises in Blantyre and surrounding areas such as Bvumbwe in Thyolo and Nguludi in Chiradzulu.n
