Mponda: We are excited

The club’s director Peter Mponda and Eshan Products managing director Mahomed Raidhan yesterday said the deal is up to the end of the season.

The deal will see Wizards getting a K1 million monthly package up to the end of the agreement.

Said Mponda: “It [the deal] will be subject to renewal after review at the end of the season. We are excited because we believe it will act as a motivation in our quest to return to the Super League.

“In fact, when the boys heard the good news they were excited, leading to the thrashing of Nsanama 9-1 last weekend.

“We expect it to be a win-win deal as we will also vigorously market Eshan Products brands, we believe we can add value to their business.”

In the recent past, Wizards—known for their entertaining pass-and-move type of football—have been the breeding ground for talent and have produced the likes of Brightone Munthali, Dennis Chembezi, Ernest Tambe, Patrick Phiri, Levison Maganizo, Semion Singa, Rafiq Namwera, Thuso Paipi and Mark Fodya.
