The Calvary Light House Fellowship has advised patients lying in agony in hospitals to keep their faith in God, saying his eyes and ears are always alert to their prayers.

A member of the fellowship, Edith Mkandawire, gave the advice last week when the group cheered the sick at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) in Blantyre.

Reading from Isaiah 55:6, Mkandawire said God is always available to people who call upon his name.

She also encouraged patient attendants to believe that the creator is working out something for their beloved ones.

Coordinator of the group Nelia Phiri said the ministry was founded to respond to the spiritual needs of its members and others.

Currently, the ministry has over 250 members who are undertaking charity in various areas.

“The group meets every afternoon of Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays,” said Phiri.

After the prayers, the members presented assorted items to the Oncology Department, Pediatrics Ward and Kachere Rehabilitation Centre.
