Carlsberg Cup media awards today in LL

Carlsberg Malawi Limited will this evening award sports journalists for their coverage of the recently concluded Carlsberg Cup.

The place is Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC).

According to Carlsberg Malawi senior brands manager (alcoholic) Twikale Chirwa, it is now harvest time for print, electronic and online media personalities, who will walk away with yet to be disclosed prizes. Last year, best reporters in each category received K100 000 ($178.57).

He said top goalscorer and the tournament accolades will also be presented to deserving individuals starting from 6pm.

“Everything has been finalised and we are just waiting for the day to present the awards. As a company, we are happy with how everybody associated with the game conducted themselves,” he said.

Mighty Be Forward Wanderers beat Big Bullets 2-1 at Civo Stadium to win the cup.
