Beverage producers Castel Malawi Limited have rolled out a dancing competition dubbed Booster Dance Challenge.

According to communication from Castel Malawi, dancers are being challenged to post a video while dancing to their product brand theme song while holding the product in hand and share the video on their Booster Facebook page.

Top three winners will be selected based on the ‘likes’ the videos will receive on their Facebook page plus an assessment of an independent panel of judges.

Three winners will be selected from the competition with the winner expected to get a cash prize of K200 000, the runner-up will get K100 000 while the third-placed dancer will receive K50 000. On top of the cash prizes, Castel Malawi said they will also use the winning videos in their adverts.

Castel Malawi marketing manager Twikale Chirwa  in a separate interview said the competition is in line with their new Booster flavours of Cider, Mojito, Banana Mama and Blush which all contain distinct personalities.

He said Booster as a brand represents fun, being trendy, beauty and fashion, among other things. He said the competition will allow their consumers to express themselves in line with the DNA of the brand.

“Booster is a fun brand and we want our consumers to have fun at home and bring out their character. We want to engage consumers in the comfort of their homes to showcase their dancing skills and win cash prizes,” he said.

The competition will run from January 11 till 31.
