Central High School decorates best students

 

Central High School in Blantyre on Thursday awarded certificates to the best students at ceremony held at the institution.

Guest of honour, The Polytechnic principal Grant Kululanga said the future of a nation depends on education of its youth.

He said: “I am confident that these students will be precisely the kind of youth who will make a positive difference to this country and the world. This event will help those trailing behind to pull up their socks.”

He advised parents to play their part in disciplining students at home.

“Students’ discipline does not only come from school. There is a part that parents need to play,” he said.

Irfan Bheda, the institution’s chairperson of board of directors, said the awards recognise students’ efforts.

“When students’ efforts are recognised, it inspires others to reach those heights,” he said.

Zaib Master, one of the best students said her secret to success is hard work.

“I encourage everyone to never give up and don’t let anyone tell you that you cannot make it in life,” she said.

Sixty-one students from Form One to A Level were awarded certificates during the event.
