Cezobal play-offs finals tonight
Central Zone Basketball League (Cezobal) goes into championship play offs finals this evening at Civo Stadium Court in Lilongwe.
In men’s league, Mimbulu take on Cougars while in the women’s league defending champions Capital Clippers play Angels.
The games will start at 6.30 pm.
Mimbulu reached the finals after booting out Central Knights 2-1 in the semi-final play offs played on best of three format.
They won the second and third games 44-43 and 65-63 respectively. Central Knights won the first game 53-46.
Cougars sailed to the finals after booting out ABC Lions 2-1.
Cougars won the first game 66-61 and the third game 76-68 to reach the finals. The Lions only managed to win the second game 66-60.
In women’s league, Clippers thumped Lady Dynamites 2-0 in the semi-finals.
They won the first and second game 46-30 and 43-39 respectively.
Angels saw off ABC Lady Lions with the same margin.
They won the first game 105-30 and they were awarded the second game after Lady Lions failed to turn up.
