The Competition and Fair Trading Commission (CFTC) has been awarded for its outstanding performance in public service delivery in the 2015/16 financial year.
The award was based on the Organisation Performance Agreement that the Commission signed with the Office of the President and Cabinet.
Presenting the awards, Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, Goodall Gondwe encouraged the winners including CFTC to continue serving Malawians well.
“Let me congratulate all institutions that have won awards today. I would also like to encourage them and of course others that have not won to work harder to develop this country,” said Gondwe who presented the awards alongside chief secretary to the government Lloyd Muhara.
CFTC executive director, Charlotte Wezi Malonda speaking after receiving the award said she was delighted with the award.
“We have an excellent team. These results show the great efforts by the team. I hope we will win more awards because we believe the sky is the limit,” said Malonda. n
