Uganda’s Jose Chameleon finally arrives in Malawi this Thursday for a series of shows in Blantyre and Lilongwe cities.

According to his itinerary, the dancehall ace, 33, will perform at Robin’s Park in the commercial capital Thursday night and proceed to the Central Region for shows at Lilongwe Community Centre on Saturday afternoon and Chez Ntemba in the evening.

The tour will end on Sunday afternoon with a sundowner at Mungo Park, which is owned by his host Ngoga Javier.

The singer was expected to land at Kamuzu International Airport at 2pm on Wednesday, but Javier’s Linc International later said the artist had rescheduled his trip due to logistical problems—the reason the tour was postponed two weeks ago.

“We have ironed out all logistics problems and the tour is on. Chameleon is bringing his own band and dancing crew. People should expect a great show,” said the Linc country director.

Guest artists include Zambia’s General Kanene, Malawi’s Lucius Banda and Tigris, said the promoter.

In a telephone interview, Chameleon said his Malawian fans should brace up for fireworks.

“I’m honoured to perform in Malawi. I promise fans a great time,” said the Jamila star.

Chameleon is the founding leader of Leone Island music label. His hits include VuluVulu, Owakabi and Vumilia.
