Champions League experience thrills Zampira Spain trip winners

Two football fans who won TNM plc’s Pokopoko Ndi Zampira Promotion’s all paid for trip to watch a Uefa Champions League match between Real Madrid and Galatasaray at  the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, have described their experience as memorable.

Initially, Kondwani Kandonga and William Chitsulo were expected to watch the El Clasico between Real Madrid and Barcelona at Nou Camp on October 26. However, the match was postponed due to violence in Catalonia, Barcelona’s home.

Instead, TNM sponsored the duo to watch a Uefa Champions League match.

In an interview from Spain, Kandonga said he would live to remember the trip.

“It was marvellous to watch Real Madrid and Galatasaray play in Uefa Champions League. I will never forget the experience,” he said.

Chitsulo said it was a dream come true to witness the clash at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

“It was great. We watched an exciting game in an amazing atmosphere of Santiago Bernabeu. it was like a dream. We enjoyed ourselves, appriciated a beautiful city, new culture and new food though there was no nsima.

“TNM spoiled us. We will continue participating in TNM promotions. Who knows, I may be second time luckier,” he said.

TNM public relations and sponsorship manager Limbani Nsapato, who accompanied the two to Spain, said the TNM Super League sponsors were proud to have made the two supporters’ dreams come true.

The two fans are expected back home today.

Brazilian teenage forward Rodrygo scored a hat-trick as Real Madrid thrashed Galatasaray 6-0.

Sergio Ramos scored from the spot kick while Karim Benzema netted a brace.
