In the semi-finals, Katoto will face Chibavi while Nkhorongo will take on Hill Top Stars at Katoto Secondary School ground this weekend.

According to Airtel Malawi sales manager for Mzuzu Isaac Chapasuka, eight teams were registered for the tournament.

He said champions will receive K70 000 ($134) while the runners-up will get K30 000 ($57).

“Our aim is to interact with them while exposing football talent. It is clear that with the little we have pumped in this football championship, we will be able to expose some talent,” said Chapasuka.

Hill Top Stars defeated River Ducks 4-3 in post-match penalties while Nkhorongo United defeated Green Rangers 2-0 to reach the semi-finals of the tournament.
