Speaking on behalf of the chiefs, group village head (GVH) Nsaliva of Traditional Authority (T/A) Chapananga commended Majete for organising the tour which he described as beneficial.

“This was a good experience and we really thank Majete for organising this. It has helped us appreciate the park and wherever we go, we will preach the message of environment preservation,” said Nsaliva.

Community extension officer for Majete, Steve Wemba, said such tours are conducted annually for traditional leaders around the park to appreciate the game reserve.

He called on the chiefs to ensure that the game reserve is protected from wildfires, and encroachment. n
