After successfully holding the first Chill All-White Party in Blantyre early this year, Carlsberg Malawi Limited takes the themed merrymaking to Lilongwe on December 9.

South African DJ Ganyani is set to follow in the footsteps of compatriot DJ Sbu as headliner of the party to be held at the new posh bar, Cockpit, at Golden Peacock Hotel.

Carlsberg Malawi senior brands manager (alcoholic beverages) Twikale Chirwa said in an interview the party will follow the format it took in Blantyre.

He said: “The White party is a global theme that consumers enjoy and we would like to offer Chill consumers in this market more and better experiences. The Chill White Party is an exclusive event for discerning consumers who enjoy Chill in their everyday drinking occasions to interact with the Chill brand through a premium experience.

“The objective of the party is to delight Chill consumers with a first-class Chill experience and continuously position Chill as a premium brand. Chill is a premium brand that caters for premium consumers; as such, we have created this event for the Chill target market to enjoy the Chill experience.”

Chirwa added that Carlsberg Malawi is creating association with consumers for the brand by giving them tickets to the exclusive events when they buy Chill.

He said Carlsberg decided to hold the event after successfully hosting the one in Blantyre.

Chirwa defended the decision to bring another South African ahead of those from other countries such as Zambia and Nigeria.

He said: “This is in line with our Chill DJs brand platform and the winner of the 2016 Chill DJ Competition will also perform alongside these DJs.

“Chill lovers should note that we will have the event in Blantyre and Lilongwe only in 2016, but expect more Chill brand activities nationwide next year.”

Born Fredericks Tshabalala, DJ Ganyani has over 20 years experience and is a household name among youths in South Africa. n
