Ruthless boxer Chimwemwe Chiotcha has found a new sponsor, local company Super Sakuwa Steel Limited.

The company has already partly sponsored his trip to Kosovo for an international super middleweight non-title fight against Timy Shala on July 28 this year.

The development comes after the failed deal with another sponsor.

Chiotcha: I am happy

“I am happy that I have turned a new page in my life. My new sponsor, though we haven’t formalized the deal has shown great passion for my career by financially supporting my upcoming fight,” said Chiotcha.

Among other the hard punching pugilist said that Super Sakuwa has funded his training camp and also paid for his air ticket to Tanzania where he will connect to Cosovo, the Central Eastern European nation.

“The organisers of the fight have provided me with an air ticket from Tanzania to Kosovo. It is Super Sakuwa which has paid for my air ticket from Malawi to Tanzania. With their intervention, it meant I was going to travel by road which is a tiresome trip,” he said.

Chiotcha said the sponsorship, which will be formalised once he returns from the South eastern European nation, will motivate him to give his best shot in Kosovo.

Super Sakuwa sales and marketing executive Enock Chithonje said they were looking forward to a long partnership with Chiotcha having being impressed with his commitment.

“Chimwemwe is a hard working boxer that is why we decided to rope him in. we will be supporting him for the unforeseeable future possibly,” he said. n
