Chiotcha not moved with Manyuchi’s exploits

Super middleweight boxer Chimwemwe ‘Rhino’ Chiotcha has said he is not moved with the prospect of fighting Zimbabwean welterweight champion Charles Manyuchi.

The two are scheduled to fight at a venue yet to be determined in Blantyre at the end of this month.

Manyuchi boasts of 15 wins and a single loss.

His latest casualties include local top pugilist Osgood Kayuni and Zambian welterweight champion Dyson Mwisa.

Manyuchi also beat another Zambian top boxer Ezaya Chilufya recently.

But the ever confident Chiotcha, who boasts 13 wins and two losses, said he is not losing his sweat with the prospect of facing the Zimbabwean.

“His achievements do not strike fear in my heart and I will prepare for him accordingly. His record speaks volumes of a good boxer he is, but I am not moved,” said Chiotcha.

Promoter of the fight, Mike Chitenje of Mulanje Last Boxing Promotions, said preparations for the bout are at an advanced stage.

The bout has generated a lot of excitement on the local scene and five companies; namely Safari General Dealers, Nangaunozge Building Contractors, Chombe Tea, Bath and Tile Connections and Tile and Tape have already committed to bankroll it.
