Chipele (Thick bean soup)

You will need

Basin

Water

Salt

Tomatoes , onions and oil

Preparation:

Soak the beans in water for at least 6 hours to a day. This will soften the bean coating for easy peeling. Next, peel and clean the beans. Add salt to taste and boil until they are soft.

In a separate pot, make a sauce from the oil, tomatoes and onions. Mix them with the beans and mash (whilst on low heat) until the mixture is smooth. Serve with nsima.
