The case involving a pharmacy technician, Martin Nyanjagha, who allegedly misappropriated drugs worth K48.7 million (about $135 277) at Chiradzulu District Hospital, has been moved to Blantyre Chief Residence Magistrate’s Court.

According to Chiradzulu Police spokesperson Ralph Makondetsa, the case has been transferred to Blantyre because of the large sum of money involved.

“The State also complained that most of the case’s files are in Blantyre and it is inconvenient to transfer the files to and from during court hearings,” said Makondetsa.

Chiradzulu first grade magistrate Ranwell Mangazi presided over the case before it was moved to Blantyre.
