Chiradzulu CCAP Presbytery opens Namikate Church

Jubilation, ululation and handclapping filled the air last Sunday when Chiradzulu Presbytery dedicated Namikate CCAP Church to God before presenting it to Christians surrounding the area.

The dedication ceremony attracted people from all walks of life, including pastors and senior church officials from CCAP and other churches in Zomba, Blantyre and Chiradzulu.

A representative from the presbytery, Reverend Adamson Nkuli, thanked Christians for building the “house of the Lord” without any assistance from outside Malawi.

Namikate CCAP Church building and construction chairperson, Marvelous Phungwako, said construction of the new prayer house started in 2010.

Phungwako disclosed that the prayer house cost them K2 826 170 to build.
