The Southern Region Football Committee (SRFC) has decided to give Mulli Brothers Limited (MBL) third pledge of K1 million (about $4 000) league sponsorship to Chiradzulu District Football League.

The sponsorship will be launched on Sunday at Chiradzulu Community Centre ground.

“We thought of Chiradzulu because they have struggled to source sponsorship,” said SRFC chairperson Raphael Humba.

MBL managing director Leston Mulli confirmed the development and said it is in line with the pledge they made in Mulanje a fortnight ago.

“Like I said, we want to give sponsorships to all districts in the Southern Region by end of this year. We now have three districts. By the end of September we should add the number to six. We are committed in helping FAM develop football in the region,” said Mulli.

The programme for the Sunday event was not yet available as we went to press.
