Chitipa have 86 points from 37 matches while Kaporo have 84 also from the same number of  games.

Chitipa’s last game will be against Mchengautuwa at home while Kaporo Stars will face Nthalire United also at home.

However, in a post-match interview, Kaporo team manager Kitwell Cheyo said: “We are happy to have won the match because we have reduced the gap.”

On his part, Chitipa United coach Robert Mziza claimed that  they only need a point from their  game against Mchengautuwa to earn promotion to Super League.

“It was painful to lose such a crucial game but we are not panicking, “he said. n
