Christians urged to pray for terrorists

Pastoral Secretary for the Archdiocese of Blantyre, Father Alfred Chaima, last Sunday asked Christians in the country to unite in praying against terrorist activities.

Chaima, in his homily at St Anthony Catholic Church in Chinyonga, said each passing day; dozens of innocent souls lose lives to terrorists across the globe.

His prayer follows terrorists attack in France and Nigeria which have claimed many lives.

He said terrorists are heartless people who will always endeavour to destroy and bring pain to innocent souls.

“I, therefore, commend you, fellow Christians, for choosing to follow and belong to Jesus Christ – the true Prince of Peace,” said the cleric. n
