Holy Trinity Embassy Ministry has donated assorted items to a family of a child with disability in Traditional Authority Tsabango in Lilongwe.

The items included mattress, beddings, clothes, cooking oil, sugar, salt, soap and soya pieces.

Speaking during the handover on Monday, Prophet Steven Kalua said they made the donation because they believe in love with action.

He said: “We believe that we cannot be preaching about love without practically showing it.

“Everyone in society has a role to play to help others with the little things they have,” he said.

The prophet also said they plan to buy a wheel chair for the child.

The child’s mother, Lea Kishindo, who is also a widow, thanked the ministry for the gesture.

“The help has come at the right time when the child lacked several basic things,” she said.

Kishindo, who has three children, said she runs a small-scale business to source money for the family.
