The World Mission Society Church of God in Malawi says it will today celebrate the 2013 Passover Feast by helping in cleaning up Lilongwe’s Old Town.
The church made the announcement in a media advisory dated April 12 2013, signed by Pastor Evance Kandodo.
“This clean-up campaign has been organised by the church to commemorate the 2013 Passover Feast…it is our belief that through this volunteer activity the church will be able to deliver the good news of salvation attained through the feast of the Passover,” reads the statement in part.
Passover 2013 began in the evening of Monday, March 25 and ended in the evening of Tuesday, April 2.
Passover or Pesach is a holiday celebrating the exodus of the ancient Israelites from slavery in Egypt.
