Civo United regrouped on Tuesday in preparation for the next Super League season which is scheduled to start next month.

But conspicuously missing in the past two days are key players, namely defenders Pilirani Makupe and Gasha Mphisi; striker Aside Ajasi and winger Martin Masoatheka.

Coach Oscar Kaunda said they are yet to get communication from Makupe and Ajasi on their absence while Masoatheka and Mphizi are now training with Malawi Defence Force (MDF) side Mafco FC.

“Since we have just started, we still believe Makupe and Ajasi will join us. We have begun well and all the players are excited ahead of the new season. We hope this enthusiasm continues into the new season,” said Kaunda.

Meanwhile, Civo have added three new signings in striker Noah Maseko and defenders Gio Banda and Alick Jana.

“We hope they will be a great contribution to the team if they keep their cool,” said Kaunda.
