Both teams confirmed reaching an agreement in separate interviews on Tuesday and that Lanjesi is on his way to Lali Lubani Road.

“We have reached an agreement and we are arranging payment. We hope to pay the transfer fee in full by next week. We tried to negotiate, but Civo were adamant. For us to succeed in our plans, Lanjesi is the missing link,” said Wanderers vice-general secretary Christopher Kananji.

Civo general secretary Rashid Ntelera also confirmed that Wanderers have agreed to buy Lanjesi at the mentioned prize.

“We talked on the phone and had fruitful discussions. They have promised to pay the money next week. Now what we have asked them to do is to put it in writing for legality,” said Ntelera.

In a related development, Gerald Nkungula, who played for Epac FC in the first round of the season on loan deal, is now back at Civo.n
