Civo want Bullets’ Gabeya
Civo United have set their eyes on Nyasa Big Bullets defender Miracle Gabeya as the close of the transfer window nears.
The club’s acting general secretary Charles Mwenda confirmed that they are hoping to sign the Flames defender on a year-long loan before the window closes on March 31.
However, Bullets vice-general secretary Kelvin Moyo said they have not received Civo’s request.
“We have not received the letter, not to my knowledge,” Moyo said.
He further cast doubt on whether the club’s technical panel was ready let go the towering defender.
“It’s the technical committee that can make a decision on which players will move,” Moyo said.
Ironically, Civo want to beef up their defence after losing John Lanjesi and Emmanuel Zoya to Bullets.
Civo are on a rebuilding exercise and currently are negotiating for the services of Dedza Young Soccer Saints striker Ferguson Ntondo and winger Fletcher Bandawe.
The club has also roped in Ian Banda from Silver Strikers but are yet to complete a deal on Lameck Kachimanga also from Silver.
